Hi, I'm Dave Cook. For over 20 years, I have written engaging (and sometimes award-winning) copy across a wide range of mediums.

Comic books: I'm the creator of the multi-award winning cyberpunk comic book series, Killtopia, published by Titan Comics. I'm also a repeat contributor to the Boom! Studios horror anthology series, Hello Darkness.

Professional copy services: My day job involves writing content for many of the world's biggest companies, including Lloyds Bank, Royal London, Standard Life, Tesco Bank, HMRC, Radisson Hotels and more.

An expansive skillset: Through my client work, I have expanded my services to include digital content strategy, end-to-end journey mapping, SEO content optimisation, accessibility and UX content, and much more.

Video game journalist: For over ten years, I worked as a games journalist for various outlets, creating engaging reviews and features for Eurogamer Network, VG247, gamesTM, Retro Gamer, Play, X360, NME and Lost in Cult. 

Video game historian: i also write game history books, published worldwide by Bitmap Books. They're Go Straight, The Ultimate Guide to Side-Scrolling Beat 'em Ups, and Run 'n' Gun: A History of On-Foot Shooters.

Video game writer: I've written for a few video games, providing scripts, branching dialogue, narrative consultancy and UI copy for such titles as Unbound: Worlds Apart, Loot River and Final Fright.
